Adema Pljevljak-Krehić
Soprano
Singing professor and head of Voice department at Academy of Music in Sarajevo
Adema Pljevljak - Krehić was a soloist with the Sarajevo Opera for almost twenty years, born in Sarajevo, graduated from the Academy of Music in Sarajevo in the class of professor Paša Gackić, where she also teaches today. She was a student at the Academy during the Siege of Sarajevo from 1992 to 1996. She also holds degree in Economy at the Sarajevo University. She finished her postgraduate studies at the Univarsitӓt für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Graz in Austria and has also studied in Italy with Helga Müller Molinari and Daniela Aimale.
At the Concorso Internationale di Musica Sacra in Rome, she won the second prize.
She also obtained the award of the University of Sarajevo for a yearlong achievment in art.
She sang mostly leading roles in the National Theatre Opera in Sarajevo, such as: Amelia in Verdi's A Masked Ball, Micaela in Bizet's Carmen, the Countess in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Elisabetta in Verdi's Don Carlo, Marenka in Smetana's The Bartered Bride, Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme, Tatjana in Čajkovski's Eugene Onegin, Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni etc.
She also performed as soloist in Mozart's Requiem, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Vivaldi's Gloria and Beatus vir, Schubert's G-Dur Messe, Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Beethoven's IX Symphony, and many others, as well as in debuts of Bosnian, French, Italian and Norvegian composers. Her concert activities brought her all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as abroad (USA, Italy, UK, Egypt, Turkey, Norway, Qatar, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Austria, Spain, Montenegro, Albania, Czeck Republic...)
She regularly nurtures the repertoire of BiH composers, which she promotes at concerts in her country and abroad. One of them was a concert of Bosnian solo song, accompanied by pianist Maja Ačkar Zlatarević, which was recorded live and published as a CD by the Music Academy in Sarajevo and published on youtube channel of the National Theater in Sarajevo. The CD is significant both for current and future generations, as it represents a unique review of BiH creativity in art music and solo songs, from its very beginnings in the Austro-Hungarian period, all the way to contemporary BiH composers.
On two occasions, she was acting director of the Sarajevo National Theater Opera, where she paid great attention to the maintanance of the opera repertoire, as well as refreshed opera ensemble with new young voices, taking care of the staff.

Maja Ačkar completed graduate and master studies of piano at the Academy of Music, University of Sarajevo, in the class of prof. Svetlane Chlaidze. She has as well completed master studies at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm at Collegium Musicum, harpsichord and baroque music.
During studies, she has perfprmed a series of concerts. She has won three of the first and one second prize at the Federal Competitions, and the first prize at the International Competition of Comune Di Pianello (Val Tidone, Italy) (Class of Prof. Yevgeny Xaviereff), as well as prize scholarships "Karim Zaimović" awarded by the Karim Zaimovic Foundation. She won scholarships from FENUS, Swedish Government (During the study at KNH), the Federal Ministry of Education, and the Swedish Institute during the training at the Baroque School in Stockholm 2008.
She studied at master's courses with professor: Rudolf Kehrer, Igor Khudolei, Jokut Mihajlović, Diane Anderssen, Lovro Pogorelic, etc.
The repertoire of the Pianist Ačkar consists works from Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Neoclassical, Impressionist composers, all the way to the contemporsry conposers. Special emphasis stands in promoting bosnian comppsers, through concert performances, editing of sheet music, and recorded compact discs.
She performed in BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Egypt and USA.
She worked with many artists sych aa Y. Xaviereff, C. Askin, U. Soderberg, U. Westerberg, I. Šarić, A. Bakševik-Krehić, B. Alic, B. Myhrstad, etc.
She participated in festivals: May Music celebrations, Baščaršija night, Zenica's spring, Sarajevo winter, Seviqc Brežice.
She has recorded 4 hatchbacks, and was the editor of the three volumes of the piano music bosnian composer.
Maja is employed as a full time professor at the piano department. She was a Vice dean for International relations from 2009-2020.

DUŠAN OBRENOVIĆ
BIOGRAPHY
Dušan Obrenović was born on January 5, 1997, in Cetinje, Montenegro. He completed his secondary music education at the “Vasa Pavić” Music School in Podgorica, in the class of Professor Marko Simović.
After graduating from secondary school in June 2016, he passed the entrance exam and enrolled in undergraduate academic studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, studying in the class of Professor Miroslav Pavlović, the first concertmaster of the Belgrade Philharmonic.
He completed his four-year higher education in September 2020 in the study program Performing Arts – String Instruments – Violin, with an average grade of 9.37, earning the professional title of Graduated Music Artist – Violinist.
Upon completing his undergraduate studies, he continued with master’s academic studies, also at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, again under the mentorship of Professor Miroslav Pavlović.
He completed his second level of higher education – master’s academic studies – in December 2021, in the same program (Performing Arts – String Instruments – Violin), with an average grade of 9.64, earning the academic title of Master of Music Arts – Violinist.
In January 2022, he enrolled in doctoral academic studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, under the mentorship of Professor Mihal Budinski.
He has participated in competitions such as the “Pjetër Gaci” in Shkodër, the String Festival “Zlatne stepenice” in Valjevo, as well as the XL, XLI, XLII, and XLIII Youth Music Festival of Montenegro held in Herceg Novi and Podgorica, where he received first and second prizes.
From 2013 to 2016, and again in 2022, he attended the Montenegro Summer Camp for Chamber Music, led by conductors such as Elisabeth Attl, Thomas Posth, Jean-Michel Despin, and maestro Sreten Krstić.
He has taken masterclasses with renowned artists including: Stefan Milenkovich, Sreten Krstić, Vili Ferdinandi, Vujadin Krivokapić, Benjamin Ziervogel, Sàndor Galgóczi, Dmitrii Prokofiev, among others.
During his studies, he participated in the NOMUS and SOMUS festivals (Serbia). Through various projects, he had the opportunity to perform in orchestras accompanying world-renowned artists such as Gordan Nikolić, Roman Simović, Stefan Milenkovich, Sreten Krstić, Francesca Dego, Daniel Rowland, Maja Bogdanović, Pacho Flores, Kemal Gekić, Irena Josifoska, Diana Adamyan, Dmitrii Prokofiev, Petar Pejčić, Alexander Sinchuk and others.
In July 2021, he began working at the University of Montenegro, Music Academy in Cetinje, as a teaching associate in the field of Performing Arts, subject: Orchestra with Knowledge of Orchestral Literature.
As a member of the piano trio “Iskra,” along with his colleagues Miljana Nikolić (piano) and Teodora Uskoković (cello), he gave his debut performance at the KotorArt Festival in August 2022. They later held concerts in October of the same year at the “Eđšeg” Cultural Station in Novi Sad and at the KIC “Budo Tomović” in Podgorica.
Within the project titled “Synergy,” organized by the international festival KotorArt Don Branko’s Music Days in July and August 2023, he performed with his piano trio “Iskra” and two string quartets at 12 concerts across the Western Balkans. In addition to concerts in Kotor as part of the KotorArt Festival, the project included performances in some of the most prominent classical music festivals in the region: Dubrovnik (Dubrovnik Summer Festival), Ljubljana (Ljubljana Festival), Belgrade (Center of Belgrade Festivals – BELEF and BEMUS), Tirana (Vox Baroque), and Pristina (F. Chopin Association).
Some of his notable solo and chamber performances include: a concert with pianist Miljana Nikolić on February 6, 2019, in Nikšić; a concert with violinist Mina Dinić on June 15, 2019, in Novi Sad; a concert by the participants of the violin masterclass at KotorArt Academy led by violinist Stefan Milenkovich on July 26, 2022, at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Kotor; a concert with the “Iskra” piano trio on August 4, 2022, in Kotor (KotorArt Festival); a solo concert at the Montenegrin Music Center on March 9, 2023, in Podgorica; and numerous concerts at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
He has performed at “El Sistema” project concerts in Belgrade in 2018 (conductor: Gerardo Estrada), as a member of the KotorArt Festival Orchestra in Kotor from 2018 to 2021, and 2024 (conductors: Premil Petrović, Julio Marić, Jacek Rogala, Tomislav Fačini, Robert Homen, Mladen Tarbuk), with the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad from 2017 to 2021 (conductor: Andrej Bursać, soloists: Stefan Milenkovich (violin), Aleksandar Đermanović (piano), Irena Josifoska (cello), Ivana Damjanov (piano), Kemal Gekić (piano), Bogdan Bikicki (clarinet), Diana Adamyan (violin), Ana Klem Aksentijević (viola)), with the Western Balkans Youth Orchestra during the Europe Day celebration in May 2022 in Novi Sad (conductor: Desar Sulejmani, concertmaster and soloist: Dušan Obrenović), as a member of the Montenegrin Youth Orchestra, at concerts of the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Montenegro Music Academy and members of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra (conductor: Miran Begić, concertmaster: Dušan Obrenović), and with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra (conductors: Stefan Malzew, Uroš Lajovic, Iva Marzano, Miguel Romea, Ivan Josip Skender, David Runc, Srboljub Srba Dinić, Mark Korovitch, Bojan Suđić, Alessandro Cadario, Robert Homen).

Biography
Vladana Perović was born in 1995 in Podgorica, where she completed both primary and secondary music school “Vasa Pavić” in the class of Professor Irma Marković. At the age of 17, she was admitted to the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where she completed her undergraduate studies with the highest marks and honors under the guidance of Professor Riccardo Marini. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in piano performance at the University of Music in Brescia (Italy) in the class of Professor Andreas Frölich.
From 2007 to 2012, she collaborated with the eminent professor and pianist Aleksandar Serdar. Alongside her conservatory studies, she also perfected her artistry at the International Academies in Rome under Professors Daniel Rivera and Konstantin Bogino, whose exceptional Russian piano school had a significant influence on her development. In 2018/2019, she attended the International Piano Academy in Split under Professor Ruben Dalibaltayan.
She has won numerous first and special prizes at national and international competitions. In 2015, she was a finalist at the 6th ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), where she won the third prize. In 2016, she was a finalist at the Malta International Piano Competition and received a special award. She was also a finalist, third prize winner, and recipient of the “Sergio Perticaroli” Special Award, presented by the Agimus Association, at the Piano Competition in Rome in 2019.
As the laureate of the “Anemos” Competition in Rome (2009), she was awarded the Silver Medal of the President of the Republic of Italy.
In 2008, as one of the winners of the prestigious international competition “IBLA Grand Prize” in Ragusa, Sicily, she performed at the Winners’ Concert held at Carnegie Hall in New York.
As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed extensively in Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Russia. She has appeared at numerous festivals in Montenegro (A Tempo, KotorArt, Days of Music, Espressivo, City Theatre Budva, Perast String Festival) and abroad, collaborating with prominent artists from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Russia, Italy, and Germany.
She has appeared as a soloist with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, the Belgrade Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Chioggia (Italy), the Rome Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Music Academy in Cetinje, performing under conductors from Montenegro and abroad such as Julio Marić, Robert Homen, Radovan Papović, and Sergio Baietta.
She has also performed at the Parliament of Montenegro and at the IX Summit of South-East European Officials in Budva.
Vladana has participated in numerous masterclasses and worked with renowned pianists and pedagogues including A. Sokolov, V. Kovač, V. Ovchinnikov, B. Kraljević, B. Canino, D. Bashkirov, A. Jasinski, P. Gililov, L. Morales, G. Mazzoccante, A. Mamriev, A. Kobrin, H. Leichtfried, B. Petrushanski, R. Dalibaltayan, K. Gekić, I. Lazko, and G. Gruzman.
